While there is a tendency to panic when you first see these critters turn up in your home, you should not let it get the best of you. There are many reasons why a person may be experiencing bed bugs. Lack of cleanliness is a big factor. If you are "not much of a housekeeper," then it's time to revise the way you live. If you keep good house, but still fall victim, then it could simply be a matter of living in a bad location. Regardless, you can get rid of these creatures once and for all.

Any time you find yourself asking the question, "How do I get rid of bed bugs," you're going to get a lot of different answers. Some say you need to set off a bomb, while others say call an exterminator. Some say get your stuff out of the house immediately, while others say bagging works effectively. All of this can be bad advice. For starters, not all exterminators know how to deal with these bugs effectively. Secondly, bombing can serve to intensify the problem as it uses the wrong types of chemicals and does nothing to destroy the eggs. Bagging also doesn't get rid of the problem; it simply preserves it. 

 

Using granules, keeping a clean home, learning as much as you can about bed bug fighting chemicals, and only hiring an exterminator, who makes these creatures his specialty, will allow you the relief that you seek. It can be a very hard problem to get rid of, but knowing what to do and following through can open the doors to relief.
